Never been inside an auto parts store? Do you break out in a cold sweat just thinking about replacing a car battery or even asking about air filters?
I hear ya - it can be nerve wracking the first time we step foot inside an auto parts store, but I'm here to promise that almost everyone has gone into an auto supply store at least once, and they have all came out relatively unscathed.
And to help alleviate your worries and settle your jalopy jitters, the Car Care Council has just released a helpful video, which aims to take the mystery out of your local auto parts store. The video, entitled, "Explore an Auto Parts Store," helps to open the door for all vehicle owners - and you certainly don't need to be an expert. In fact, the video just might give you the jump start you need to save time and money doing your own basic auto maintenance at home.
The video addresses finding materials for simple projects such as checking fluids, changing wiper blades, testing the battery and, of course, fun accessories, too. The counterperson at an auto parts store can assist you in locating the right parts and give also give referrals to a repair shop when a might be too big for you to handle.
Painless. I promise.
